DiXiM® is a software technology for sharing multimedia content like video, music, and photos on various PCs and digital appliances connected by a home network such as Ethernet and wireless LAN. Content sharing is compliant with the worldwide standard specification called UPnP™ AV. Devices supporting UPnP AV or the standard guideline for interoperability called DLNA™ can interoperate and share content with devices powered by DiXiM.
The DLNA CERTIFIED™ logo is displayed on DLNA certificated products, and products of each company with the logo will go on sale starting from 2006. Four of DigiOn products including Windows® XP version of Media Server device, have been certificated, and these products have been sold to home networked device developers for the purpose of interoperability verification. Multimedia Home Net Work Kit [DiXiM2]

Home network software installed on Windows XP version of DLNA certificated products have been sold to personal customers as multimedia home network software called DiXiM. It is also preinstalled or bundled on each company’s PCs and peripherals. When it is preinstalled, it may be customized for each manufacturer and have a different product name and user interface.
